Garden of Gethsemane – THURSDAY

This was it. The atoning sacrifice performed by our Savior.

The event that saved the souls of everyone who had lived or would yet live upon the earth.

One of the “three pillar” most important events in the history of the world. ⁣

An event that is important for literally everyone, yet still feels so personal and intimate.

And despite its grandiose significance, here is what my big brother’s atoning sacrifice means to me.

  • Because of my Savior’s atoning sacrifice on this day in the Garden of Gethsemane, I know that I WILL mess up, and I WILL get to try again. ⁣
  • ️ Because of Him, I know that I am always loved. ⁣
  • ️Because of Him, I know that I will be judged with grace and understanding for everything I have done. And I can extend that same grace and understanding to those around me. ⁣
  • ️Because of Him, I know that I can keep working on my weaknesses. ⁣
  • ️Because of Him, I know I can do hard things. ⁣
  • ️Because of Him, I know how to love and serve others better. ⁣
  • ️Because of Him, I know exactly the person I am striving to be, and I won’t give up until I get to become her. ⁣
  • ️Because of Him, I have direction and peace in my life. ⁣

️⁣I would recommend taking some time to write down some things that our Savior’s atoning sacrifice means in your life sometime today.

If you’d be willing to share some reasons, I’d love to hear them too.

Let’s #sharegoodness and get our minds prepared for a historic and solemn fast for Good Friday.

  1. His atoning sacrifice means I can still be loved and see Him again, when I mess up. Because, I will.

His atoning sacrifice means I’m never alone, He knows what I’m feeling, He’s been there and He knows how to comfort and help me.

His atoning sacrifice teaches me what selflessness and love really looks like.

  2. Our Savior is just that “our personal Savior” none of us would be able to come back into the presence of God the Father or his sone Jesus Christ without the Atonement.

  3. Because of Him and his ability to forgive and cleanse me, I know that I can seek for direction from my Heavenly Father and have that communicated to me through the Holy Ghost.
I’m grateful that He is the way I can qualify for this Divine help!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts and insights!
