If you are new here, what kind of content can you expect to find?
Let me start with the negatives first: (good strategy, right?!)
This is NOT a site with printables and activity guides.
Plenty of other people are doing that just fine.
This is NOT a site with teaching tips and lesson helps.
Honestly, I know a lot of you use my content to help plan lessons either for your family or for church classes, and that is AMAZING. But it’s not the purpose of my posts, so just know that you will need to adapt the posts to fit your needs if you plan to teach from them.
This is NOT a site with weird, obscure doctrine.
I actually love researching this kind of stuff, but I like to keep things pretty simple around here. Pure and simple truths.
Soooo… what kind of “Come Follow Me” blog is this anyway?!
As you may or may not know, each Come Follow Me assignment starts on Monday and ends on a Sunday. Throughout the week, you can expect to see at least 5 posts from me. They will be the same or similar posts to what you see on my @comefollowmestudy Insta feed, so follow along on whatever platform you prefer. (Oh, there’s a Facebook page, too!)
I’ll also throw in some extra posts whenever some “background” info is needed on Mondays prior to starting a new study week. (This same background info is saved in highlight bubbles on my Insta profile as well.)
You WILL find posts that take assigned scriptures and find ways to make them applicable.
You WILL find posts with funny, embarrassing, realistic life stories from my personal experiences.
You WILL find positive and uplifting thoughts.
My goal is to help you see the scriptures as something that can TRULY help you become better and more Christlike right now.
My goal is to help you discover (or rediscover) your passion for diving into the scriptures.
My goal is to help you truly STUDY Come Follow Me.
