Am I worthy enough to live in God’s presence?

How could I EVER be worthy enough to live for eternity in the presence of my Heavenly Father?

READ THIS QUOTE ⬆️ AT LEAST TWO TIMES.

This comes straight from the introductory pages for our Come Follow Me manuals.

What a POWERFUL point.

Can I live worthily enough to have the Holy Ghost as my companion?

Absolutely!

That’s a goal I can and have accomplished many times.

And if I’m worthy enough to have one of the members of the Godhead dwell with me on earth, then I am worthy enough to dwell with the other members of the Godhead in the next life.

This realization gives me 2 strong immediate thoughts:

1- This gives me a lot of hope and comfort.

and

2- This makes me take “being worthy to have the spirit with me” MUCH more seriously.

-How do we learn personalized lessons from our scripture study?

-How do we receive personal revelation?

-How do we best teach the gospel to others?

When we have the Holy Spirit with us.

And how do we invite the Holy Spirit into our lives?

Not by being perfect. But by being WORTHY.

By doing good to those around us.

By eliminating the bad influences that creep into our lives.

By sticking with strong gospel study habits.

By repenting CONSTANTLY.

It all comes down to the little things.

When we do the little things, we invite the Spirit into our lives. When we invite the Spirit, we open the opportunity for personalized instruction and inspiration. And when we live worthily enough to keep the Spirit as our companion, we are given confidence to live in the presence of God and our Savior for all eternity.

Happy Studying!
