Though I don’t think I was advanced of a piano player as you when I was young, I was accompanying the Jr High Choir in 9th grade when the adult accompanist left, including “Battle Hymn of the Republic” (Tabernacle Choir version). I played many years after that and also taught beginning piano lessons. Many decades and a lifetime later – I can still somewhat sight read, my piano won’t stay in tune and some keys stick. Certainly I am not on the level I once was. We never know when something will hit us to take our testimony down or if it’s just little-by-little and bit-by-bit. All those daily spiritual tasks are so important.
