I had been told by the Lord that I was not to have sugar. I was good until I went to our empty nesters’ social. One of the sisters always made Bavarian Cream for our socials. I came with my bowl of berries and when I saw the Bavarian Cream I lusted after it. I decided I would only have 1 teaspoon on the berries. I came back for a tablespoon!!! That night I was so sick with mucus!!! During my dilemma I kept hearing one line from a hymn, “By strict obedience Jesus won the prize with glory rife.”

I am not perfect. I make mistakes. but when He gives me a direct command I am quick to do it. It has brought me closer to Him and He has been my help in many ways.
