The fact that God weeps is a sign of his compassion and empathy. He could say like we say to our children when they are crying and we know everything will be fine, “that’s ok, it’s ok. Everything will be fine.” He knows everything will be fine, but he weeps because he feels what they feel – what we feel and has compassion and true love and empathy for what we feel. We could sure learn this lesson!
