*Old Testament (Q3 JULY-SEPT) Big Picture/Little Picture Study Guide *DIGITAL DOWNLOAD*

(3 customer reviews)

Ready to dive into the Old Testament?

If you are looking for simple bullet point summaries and explanations that will quickly get you the info you need to be a total pro as we work through Come, Follow Me this year, this is the guide for you!

Here’s what to expect for every single week of the Old Testament Study Guide:

First, I always create a study guide that gives you new knowledge.

That’s the “BIG PICTURE” portion.

I’m telling you the context you need, we are reviewing important people to know, I’m reminding you where we are, and I’m giving you any other relevant or fun facts that would help you out for the week.

Stuff like: Is this the scattering of Israel? How do Babylon and Persia relate to each other? Who wrote the psalms? Why is the book of Ecclesiastes so sad? What is Isaiah talking about?

And next, I always create a study guide that will be useful each time you sit down to read.

That’s the “LITTLE PICTURE” portion.

For every single chapter that we study, I give you a quick reminder of what you need to remember before you read. I also give an easy-to-digest chapter summary, juuuuust in case you need some help figuring out what you are reading about!

And the most important part of all is the SPIRITUAL GUIDING QUESTIONS.

This is the whole purpose of scripture study, right? Making sure the scriptures change who we are.

If you need help with that, I’ve created 7 thought-provoking questions each week, with plenty of room to journal, that will help you take these scriptures from “interesting stories” to life lessons that will affect you today. You can do one question a day, knock them all out whenever you study, or even just pick and choose the questions that resonate personally with you. (HINT: They also make fantastic class or family discussion questions!)

Each week, you will get ALL of this information.

There is so much, that I needed to break the Old Testament up into quarters, so this study guide will carry you for July-September’s study.

This is the DIGITAL DOWNLOAD version of my study guide, and with one purchase, you have permission to download this study guide to your computer and either give digital access or print off copies for members of your household only.

Happy Studying!

For years now, I’ve discovered the secret study guide recipe most people are craving, but doesn’t quite exist. And I know what it is because it’s the type of study guide I had always been looking for, too!

These are the best study guides ever for studying the scriptures. They explain the background and what’s going on in a clear and concise way so you can focus on the spiritual things (which is especially helpful for the Old Testaments!) They fill in the missing things that we aren’t necessarily studying with Come Follow Me which I really appreciate. I love the thought provoking questions that help guide my focus and inspire revelation.

I’m so thankful for this resource! After enjoying Big Picture Monday every week, I knew I needed this study guide as well. It is so helpful for me to learn what going on-the who, what, where. It really helps me understand the why-the spiritual application.

It seems extremely expensive for what you get. It’s sad that people are making such a large profit on other people trying to study and draw closer to God. I wish I could actually afford it.

I think around a dollar per week for these study guides that I’ve poured tons of work into is pretty reasonable, but you can certainly disagree if it’s not a good fit for you! I do want to be clear that I am absolutely not “getting rich” off of these, but I think it’s fine to make money in exchange for the countless hours of work, study, writing, childcare, and research materials that go into making this, which is also what every other person is doing who produces gospel related materials, other than the free things the church supplies.
